A little worried about how fast the festive period is fast approaching? Scared that you will spend the whole of Christmas day working? Here are our tips to help you manage your workload this Christmas.

Set Expectations

Set expectations as early as you can. Make sure that your Christmas opening hours are well known.

Batch work

Batch your work and get a particular topic of tasks all done in one go so that your mind is focussed on that one thing. A good example for this would be your months worth of social media.

No Phone Zone

We should not be available 24/7 to everyone. It’s ok to not reply to everyone immediately. Have times that are just for work and that are only for home. Flight mode is also a great way to do a mini digital detox.

Use a Temporary VA

Fancy Hands or People Per Hour may not be something that you usually utilise but if you are super busy look at outsourcing the things you do not have time to do.

Buffer Time

Book in Buffer time into your schedule. Treat it as if it is a meeting and use the time to do whatever you need. Whether it be catching up on work or practising some self-love.

Remember when things get a little too stressful to take yourself out of the situation and breathe. Ask yourself, will whatever I am worried about matter in a year? Probably not.
